Cancellation Policy
At Language Wonder Lab, each class is thoughtfully designed for a small group of curious, creative kids to grow together through language, play, and exploration. Because our program depends on steady enrollment to create that magic, we ask families to commit to the full season (9 Saturdays).
Age Requirements: This class is intended for children in K-2 (5 to 8 years old). We may make exemptions for children who are 4 years old, but that is at our discretion and on an individual basis. In the case that a parent registers a child outside of our intended age group, we will contact the parent. We will offer a full refund, as long as the parent reported the age appropriately in the registration form and waiver. If we, along with the parent, consider that the child can stay in the class, then the parent will assume full liability. No refunds will be provided for withdrawal or absences in this case (unless as stated below).
Before the Season Starts:
If you need to cancel two weeks or more before the session starts, we’ll refund 50% of your registration fee. Within 7 days of the first class, we’re unable to offer a refund unless we can fill your spot from our waitlist.
To keep every child safe and our program running smoothly, all families must have a signed waiver and signed student contract on file before a child can participate. This is a standard requirement for programs like ours and ensures we have your permission to care for your child, seek medical help in an emergency, and use materials and spaces safely. If the waiver is not signed, we cannot allow your child to attend class—thank you for helping us meet this important safety step.
After the Season Begins:
Once the season begins, enrollment is not transferable.
We are not able to offer refunds for missed classes or mid-season withdrawals, as your child’s spot has been reserved for the full session. Extreme hardships will be considered, but are not a guarantee of refund, on a case-by-case basis.
If We Need to Cancel:
In the rare case that a season does not meet the minimum number of enrolled students, we will cancel before the start date and issue a full refund.
If we need to cancel a class due to instructor illness, we will issue a credit toward a future class/session.
If we need to cancel due to severe weather, we will notify families via email and text as soon as we can. We will make every effort to schedule a make-up class within the same season. If that’s not possible, families will receive a credit toward the next season.
In the case of force majeure or unexpected circumstances, we will make reasonable efforts to reschedule or provide virtual alternatives, but refunds will follow this policy.
We know life can be full of surprises, and we aim to be as flexible as we can while keeping our small, seasonal program sustainable. Thank you for helping us create a space where every child can build language, creativity, and community together!
